Scope of works: Wire, supply, and install a new 125-amp, three-phase circuit for a 60 kW EV-DC fast charger located adjacent to the main switchboard. Include software option to chargeback.

1. Wire and install new 125-amp three-phase circuit for 60KW EV-DC fast charger, location adjacent to the main switchboard.
2. Supply and install a new Ocular 60KW Dual EV-DC fast charger on a pedestal
3. Supply and install a new weatherproof EV-DB switchboard adjacent to the new main switchboard.
4. Supply and install a new Circuit Breaker in zone A7 of the main switchboard for EV-DB. Connect new sub mains.

Expert 150A Supply Connection

Our team successfully connected a 150A supply from the main switchboard, carefully routing and securing the new circuit to ensure optimal power delivery and long-term reliability. Given the demands of a high-powered public charger, all electrical work needed to meet strict compliance and safety standards.

Overcoming Unique Installation Challenges

This project came with its fair share of challenges, including:

• Hoisting a 200kg DC charger into position required careful planning, specialist equipment, and teamwork to execute safely.
• Constructing a reinforced concrete plinth to provide a stable and durable base for the charger, ensuring longevity and compliance with structural requirements.

With stringent requirements for public EV chargers, our team ensured every aspect of the installation was executed to the highest quality standards, from electrical connections to final commissioning.
